Jumping Around is the newest instrumental track from Gianfranco GFN, built around a groove that blends acid-jazz, soul, and a light funk touch. It’s the only instrumental on his upcoming album, and it stands out for its tight arrangement and strong rhythm section.
Gianfranco GFN handles guitar, playing with clarity and control while staying inside the rhythm rather than soloing over it. The track also features David Caraccio on bass and keyboards, Nicolas Pittet on drums, Claude-Alain Biedermann on additional keyboard, Lucien Matthey on percussion, and Fred Stalder on trumpet. Each part serves the groove, with no unnecessary showboating. The trumpet lines are sharp without being dominant, and the layered percussion helps keep the momentum up.
The production is clean, with a mix that highlights how locked-in the rhythm section is. Everything is built around interplay – especially between the bass and drums – while the guitar and trumpet take turns bringing in texture.
Its steady tempo and lack of vocals give it strong sync potential. It could easily work in a film or TV scene that needs movement without overwhelming the dialogue. Jumping Around isn’t trying to be flashy, but it lands right where it should, and that’s the point.
