DARDUST EXPANDS HIS ARTISTIC VISION WITH URBAN IMPRESSIONISM (DELUXE EDITION)

Dardust has always been about pushing limits, and the deluxe edition of Urban Impressionism takes that even further. The album, originally released in November, was already a striking mix of brutalist architecture and impressionist painting turned into music. Now, with six new tracks—four of them previously unheard—he’s added even more depth to this project.

The new songs don’t just feel like extra material thrown in for the sake of a deluxe edition. Pavane Floue and New York 17.3.24 (featuring Ze in the Clouds) bring a new texture to his already layered compositions, while Hazey Romance stands out as one of the most striking pieces, balancing elegance with something more raw and exposed. There’s no filler here—just more of the same precision and attention to detail that made the original release so compelling.

Dardust doesn’t sit comfortably in one genre, and that’s what makes his work stand out. His music is deeply tied to visuals, whether in the physical structures that inspire him or the film-like quality of his compositions. You can hear the discipline of classical piano in his playing, but there’s also something modern, almost futuristic in the way he builds his sound. It’s the kind of music that could easily fit into a film score, but it’s not made to sit in the background—it demands attention.

The European tour is already underway, with Dardust having brought Urban Impressionism to Milan, Rome, Barcelona, Madrid, and Lisbon. Now, the journey continues through the rest of Europe, giving audiences a chance to experience this project in a way that’s impossible to get from just listening.
