Maren Morris has just dropped a new track titled “Kiss the Sky,” featured in DreamWorks Animation’s upcoming film, The Wild Robot. This original song, which showcases Morris’ signature style, is co-written with a talented team that includes Delacey, Jordan K. Johnson, Stefan Johnson, Michael Pollack, and Ali Tamposi. It’s now available for streaming and download across all major digital platforms, including Amazon.
The animated feature, directed by Chris Sanders, boasts an impressive voice cast featuring Lupita Nyong’o, Pedro Pascal, and Catherine O’Hara, among others. Morris’ uplifting song perfectly complements the film’s themes of adventure and resilience, making it a fitting addition to the soundtrack.
In addition to “Kiss the Sky,” a full soundtrack featuring the original score by Kris Bowers will be released next month, with a special vinyl edition from Waxwork Records also in the works. The Wild Robot is set to premiere at the 2024 Toronto International Film Festival before hitting theaters nationwide on September 27, distributed by Universal Pictures.
